WEB CEO
I was searching for FREE tools to position
this, and other sites I manage for my clients. After extensive review I
decided on 2 programs tools that were both free. I choose
Web CEO as my primary SEO (search engine optimization) tool. I found
it easy to use, and had the most complete optimization tools of all the
suites I tried. Some of the most impressive and useful features were the
keyword marketing tool, the search engine optimization tools, and the site
ranking checker.
The keyword marketing tool quickly found
keywords that had the most search engine hits and ranked them by their KEI
(Keyword Effectiveness Index) so I could choose the best keywords for my
site. It allows you to store groups of keywords in separate "baskets" so I
could choose keyword combinations for specific pages.
The search engine optimization tool could
scan my site on disk or the web and presented a wealth of tips on problem
areas. Open the editor in another window and edit and save your site or
local files from within
Web CEO. Then just switch windows and re-run the optimization tool to
fine tune your results. With these two tools and some cutting and pasting
I saved hours of my time. I no longer have any excuse to put off
re-optimizing , and I saved . his tool is it opens the meta tags for each
tag where you can edit them within the program and save them directly to
your website or disk file from within the program. After various changes
are made you can re-run the optimization tool and check your work and fine
tune results.
The ranking tool is fantastic. It lists your
ranking by search engine or keyword. It can run a comparison report of
your sites search engine ranking to one or more competitors. Results are
stored in a database so future reports show your current ranking compared
to a previous time. This feature is great to track how your SEO results
are improving. The ranking tool also runs a comparison of your site to
that of your competitors. Analysis in the report is to compare the results
against the first time the report was created vs. the best results
achieved when the report was first run. It's a great tool, and available
in the basic program that is only $19.99 (read 20 bucks)
You can store any number of profiles with
the free versions. For example, one for each website I manage. I bought
the starter version for $19.99 as it had a couple of features I wanted. I
opted to use the starter version, which offers more tools than most users
need for basic SEO. I would like to use the more advanced features, but
I'm on a budget. I strongly recommend that new users that want to optimize
a website for search engine optimization start with the basic program
(free at $20.00), and after determining there actual needs upgrade or
explore other solutions. For new users the free version will do just fine. See the
Comparison table at Web CEO, and you will find that either the free or
paid version are equally attractive.
